I started out the week In Carissa which was so amazing! It was really nice to be able to see my old area again and especially the people! I promise, no effort is ever wasted! When I went back, I was able to see families we had been teaching for months attend church as a whole family and our golden investigators continue to go to church and are ready for baptism!
I really miss Carissa<3
Well, this week--haha, nothing really big or special.
To be honest, we're struggling work wise. On top of that, I was sick basically this whole week. I had no voice. I had a really bad fever. I just...it wasn't my week this week.
I think I got sick from working up in Carissa. We basically walked EVERYWHERE because my companion over there (Sis Brown)...well, we couldn't really fit in the trike. So she always requested to walk. But unfortunately, the area is super far and it almost took us a whole hour just to get to our first appointment! But it's okay, I understood. We were laughing so hard because the times we did try to get in the trike--we were a HOT MESS. #PolyProbs. #BigMuli. #Oyyawee.
I remember this week we were walking to an appointment at night time and we were passing this man that was driving a trike and dropping off his passengers. We said Hi to him and kept walking. As we continued to walk he drove up right behind us and was telling us that he can give us a ride. We said it's fine and that the house we were going to is very near. He then kept insisting and smiling too. My companion then turned to him and said, "Libre lang? (For free?" and he said YES! WE got in the trike and he took us to our appointment LIBRE LANG! When we got out, he told us how he has been inspired to do good, especially to people like us (Missionaries) because he sees us a lot and really admires what we do. He is willing to listen to our message. I really love moments like this when people who have felt the love of Christ have a desire to pass it on!
That same night we were able to get all different types of lvoing service coming from people we barely even knew. They just felt like helping us out.
May we all be like these people in giving that Christ Like love to all.
